About Life Planted Here:

Hi friend. My name is Chelsie. Welcome to Life Planted Here. This space was created in 2016 right after our family moved to Asheville, NC from our hometown, Charleston, SC. We moved up to AVL to plant a church with some of our closest friends and we had to start over completely. We had to build a new life in Asheville from the ground up. It wasn’t easy but I learned overtime to bloom where I was planted. And indeed I did. We spent 6 amazing years in Asheville and just recently in June of 2021, we made the trek back home to SC to move closer to our families. Here I am, planted again in my hometown, trying to build my roots again and hopefully bloom in a new but familiar place.

My goal has always been that this place would encourage others to do the same. BLOOM. Blooming where you are planted is not an easy road to take but it’s never too late to do. I want to see you flourish, thrive, and take ownership in where you’re planted. It may require taking risks, embracing unknowns, and putting yourself out there in your city or neighborhood. Just like a seed, we begin by pressing into the soil. Our roots will begin to grow and as we nudge ourselves out of the soil (out of our comfort zones) something beautiful takes place. I have learned so much in this area over the past four years and I’d like to encourage you in your journey. You don’t have to do this alone.

About Chelsie & her crew:

I am married to my best friend Robbie and we are parents of boys. When I am alone you can find me at a local coffee shop with a book in hand or writing my next blog post. I am smitten over mountain views, passionate about black coffee, and I love propagating plants and giving them away.

I have always loved writing ever since I was a little girl. I am realizing that my desire to write is a part of who I am and it’s fills me up so I don’t want to stop! My desire is to learn from others as I hone in on this craft of writing. Every time I write I think of you. I love encouraging people wherever they are at.

I would love to connect more with you. You can comment, ask questions, find me through my social media links, or email me directly at lifeplantedhere@gmail.com

I am so glad you stopped by and I hope you stick around!
